GT6Craig
Hi all,I am rebuilding my CD 150's and I'm a little hung up on what we consider as "excessive" when it comes to spindle bore wear...It feels sloppy to me and measures at about 5 thou a side clearance.Your thoughts are welcomed!I will glaldy rebush, but is it necessary.....?Thanks! piman
Hello Craig, how is the car running? If you are happy with it I wouldn't bother. Worn spindle bushes will be more noticeable at idle but when driving the small amount of extra air will be negligible, not an essential repair in my view?Alec

GT6Craig
Decided I'll put the carbs together as they are, re-bushing with my limited machining skills may just write-off a perfectly good set!At least the new spindles are better than the old ones..... piman
Hello Craig, 5 thou a side clearance, that's nearer 50 thou? However it's often the case the harder metal wears so new spindles should be an acceptable repair.Alec
