Clive
I have had 2 header rail seals from COH Baines. Both have allowed dribblege which is not particularly good. The seals are all rubber, and feel a tad hard. So is there abetter seal available? I was wondering if a foam rubber seal would be more compliant?
yorkshire_spam
I thought a new seal on mine had stopped dribbleage... but no. So interest to see answers/opinions.

I am going to try the foam type seal listed for a mk3 spit/TR6 About to order one now back from Spa

Fitted, but sadly (or not) tested in the wet stuff as the weather has been unusually good for a bank holiday. The seal is lovely and soft, so I am hoping it will be a better seal than the rubber bubble type

We have just been to Ireland via Wales and experienced some serioius rain (luckily only shortish bursts) and not one drop of water. This is the one I bought, but available from all the usual suppliers. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282469244447

Velocita Rosso
The original/originals were of a very spongey rubber , you could say squidgey, unlike the repros of a harder shore rubber nowadays. I still have my original type from the early seventies in my minds eye

Half the price though! Still, saving a fiver is nothing compared to suffering dampness in the gentlemans area.

Not teaching my grandad, ( difficult as he died in the 1930`s)., but dont forget ,it may also be the windscreen top trim......they often leak through there ,unless mastic sealed to frame
Clive
Extensively tested in Welsh and Irish heavy rain. I used a non setting mastic under the ali capping for that very reason.
