Servo upgrade for brakes

I'd try making sure the brakes are generally in good shape first with no sticking caliper pistons or wheel cylinders.
Then some decent pad.  Mintex 1144 are WAY better that the greased cardboard motorfactors offerings or greenstuff. Then see if you still want a servo.

DItto.
The servo makes the brakes feel easier to use but doesn't improve efficiency, and it ain't necessary on our little cars to my mind, but opinions vary of course.

Another vote for fitting M1144 pads if you are otherwise happy the system is in good order.  They are so effective that pedal effort is reduced anyway - I would doubt you would see the need for a servo after fitting them.

As above. Servo has its uses.largely if you (or another driver!) struggle swapping between modern cars and the spitfire.
however, spitfire brakes can work very well. most problems are caused by poor maintenance and/or poor quality pads.
Years ago I fitted a pair of new discs and set of decent pads to a newly bought spit. Adjusted the handbrake (correctly) and it transformed the braking.
Besides, all the basics need to be done before fitting a servo. All that does is assist your leg ;) But has its place.
