gt6 rear brakes

thinking about my rear brakes on my late mk3 non rotoflex, they are the self adjust type, for those in the know is it possible to use the backplate with the manual adjusters on from an earlier car, is the brake drum the same diameter only wider as the late gt6 brakes have i believe wider shoes.

Hi Ian.

Yes, you can fit manual adjusters. Triumph originally did it with the Mk1, but the backplates are now  very rare.
I used Toledo backplates, as they use the GBS850 8" x 1.5" shoes, redrilled to bring the adjusters to 6 o clock and with a bracket for the handbrake welded into place.
