heraldcoupe Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Same thing happened to my Transit a few years ago, they lacked that fancy construction though,Cheers,Bill.
smithy Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 That's broken Markus. You'll want to replace that I think.
marktheherald Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 Or you could run your pads down a bit.... ??)
99176 Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 I like those last ones.Constantly refacing the pads for ultimate friction.Run very cool, and so light.
JohnD Posted October 25, 2012 Posted October 25, 2012 That's weird, Markus! The bumps on the opposite faces look as if they intersect, rather than meet, so that the clamping force of the caliper would flex the two faces, making them narrower the further from the hub, and surely leading to ultimate failure by fatigue. Thats what led to the two faces coming apart. So weird, I have to ask. Are they really OE Merc parts? They are, or at least Brembo make them, for a Merc, in that style:http://www.amazon.co.uk/Brembo-Mercedes-M-CLASS-163-154-09-7606-11/dp/B006J731KEJohn
GT6 M Posted October 25, 2012 Author Posted October 25, 2012 Nope not after market OE stuff, about 8 years old.new AE ones were just the same style inside.M
