Straight Six Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 I have 13 X 5.5 Minilite wheels fitted to my MkII Vitesse and the clearance between the wheel and the trunnion water shields on each side of the trunnion is extremely tight. Is this normal? We're talking maybe 1mm clearance here. Excuse the quality of the photos: taken whilst crawling under the car, phone in one hand, torch in the other! Quote
Nick Jones Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Yes, they can be damn close with some wheels.With the Cosmics I had before there was one wheel I couldn't put on the back as it was very slightly out of shape and used to rub. Then there's the tyre fitter who sticks weights there that scraped straight off again......The 100+ cross-spokes fitted now are roomier, but still quite close.Nick Quote
