CharlieB Posted May 1, 2008 Posted May 1, 2008 Where can I buy a QUALITY rear trunnion bush kit?The ones I've just bought have gone back as the bushes were very badly molded & far too loose although as usual the supplier said "never heard that before". These bushes were pale blue whereas the old ones were dark blue.Charlie

Jason Posted May 2, 2008 Posted May 2, 2008 I did my Vitesse with Canley's parts too, swing spring rear end so the "other" bushes. They were dark blue I recall. It's the metal bits that I found to be crap and needed "adjustment" I find a socket of the right size and a suitable hammer work wonders. Apparently there are lots of suppliers competing to make these type of parts. Sounds good BUT the quality is really variable and although cheap they can often be a bit nasty. It's one of those perils of cheap parts, the only saving grace is that unless you leave them ignored for ever they won't do any damage if they wear.
CharlieB Posted May 2, 2008 Author Posted May 2, 2008 I rang Canleys, they sell they pale blue ones but they've all been sent back to the supplier because as you say the metal parts are wrong. There's some QH ones on ebay & I'm trying to get hold of Mick Dolphin.
CharlieB Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 Well the QH ones were so tight I would have needed to press or hammer the tube in place so I've used the tube from a NOS kit from Mick Dolphin & all seems good. How are they supposed to fit, have others had so much trouble or am I just mega fussy :)
Clive Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Mick Dolphin is a gem. Just bought a hood part from him, friendly and really quick. Would recommend him to anyone. A real gent.CliveUsual stuff. No connection except as an impressed customer.
