midgeman Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 I have just come to fit my new rear Trunnion Bushes that I purchased back in August and I have come up against a problem :( Having removed the old bushes fairly easily I thought I was on a roll but although the new bushes fit the Trunnion and the metal tubes fit inside the bushes the bolts will not go through the tube i.e. bolt diameter is a fraction to big.The bolts are in excellent condition with zero deterioration on the shanks I also have new bolts and these do not fit either :(Anyone had a similar problem.P.S. the bushes were purchased from Fitchett's NOT off the Bay.Cheers Alan
nang Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 No, the bolt is the right size, it's the hole in the tube that's too small ! Is it possible to run a drill through them ? If not I'd contact Fitchetts, it's really their problem. (shrug)Tony.
