New Trunnion fit?

Have just been comparing my old trunnions with my new ones and found that they both stop at different positions when done up. This means that once wound out to the correct position for use, there is a difference of 1mm between the old and the new. the old trunnion sitting 1mm further in on the stud. Is this ok?

I can't believe 1mm has any relevance on 1960s engineering!!
