Trunnion alternatives

Does anyone know if any one offers a modern alternative to the troublesome trunnions on our Triumphs?

Well not so much troublesome I guess as a bit difficult to live with and awkward to maintain. Having now checked out the alternatives with Canley Classics I think I'll stick with the originals until I win the lottery!

Not really, it's just that it's a problem free setup for many of us.
Some people see it differently, but I'm quite happy with the maintenance regime,

Exactly the same as virtually any part of any classic car - look after it and it will look after you. Now yes, everything has a limited service life, but usually when your trunnion breaks it's because of years of mis-maintenance.

And to say we're traditionalists would be true to an extent - but almost every car in the club that I can think of has been modified in some way. Not all, but most.

There's a great deal of merit in what you've all said. I'll stick with the original trunnions then!
