Front trunnion lower pivot

Hi all

I stripped out the off side front suspension at the weekend to fit new wishbone bushes. Old one's not too bad actually.

I doing so I found the bushes in the bottom of the trunnion to be in a right old mess with the nylon bush on one side all mashed up where is seems to have been rotating in the wishbone.

I've bought new bush kits for both sides, just wanted to know what is supposed to remain static as the suspension moves and what moves with it. EG do the nylon bushes oscillate inside the trunnions or not?

Does that make sense?

The steel sleeve should be fixed ie not move, the bushes are VERY tight in the trunnion, so I recon the bush rotates round the steel sleeve.
Someware I recall the hard/soft should be mated together like the crank / bigends.
