Neilriser Posted November 3 Posted November 3 Hi to all,i have an issue which im interested in understanding,i gather that the manufactoring of the 1200 front wings is not available due to there being no tooling, however the tooling for the 13/60 wings is available and then the radius has to be added for the 1200,so does All wings come from one manufactorer? who are they?and does this manufactorer supply all outlets? even thou prices range from 225 to 385 pounds, ive recently fitted two new 1200 wings they were a lot of work ,However they are approx 1/4 inch shorter than the original?i have just offered up the side stainless steel trims to find they are now to long, my question really is if i purchase a new 1200 wing from rimmers, fitchets, etc etc have they all come from the same manufactorer or is there someone making them the right length? sorry i know im ranting but ive just spent over 500 pounds and feel really dissappointed. Slimboyfat Posted November 4 Posted November 4 All Herald front wings originate from Fitchetts. 1200 wings start life pressed as 13/60 but then modified in-house to 1200 by cutting the bit off at the front that's different, and then welding on a hand made replacement bit. That bit does vary a bit, and needs a bit of fettling when fitting to a car. 1 Quote
