Light Bulbs

What are the specs of the brake bulbs? I need to replace mine and was wondering if I could get them from local stores instead of waiting for them to arrive..

Take it out, walk up to the counter and say "I'll have one like this, but make sure it's working". It's just a normal brake bulb.

The brake light bulb is a combined 12/21W dual filament tail-lamp bulb.  
As fitted to almost every car since the stone age.  

As Ferny says, pull out the old bulb and walk up to the spares counter saying "one of those, please".  You could even be daring and get two so you have a spare available when the other one blows.
