AL32 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Hi, as the title says I’m looking for a MkII Spitfire that my dad owned in the early 90s out of pure interest to see if it’s still out there. Saw some other people on this forum have some success so thought I’d give it a try. The reg is NPD 280D and it was a Green MkII. Although I believe it was originally white. Having looked at the tax status I’m not confident it’s still out there as it hasn’t been taxed since 93’. On the off chance that someone happens to know what happened to that car any information would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards Albert Quote
Wendy Dawes Posted January 7 Posted January 7 Try asking on the TSSC forum too, if you haven’t already done so, it’s difficult to trace a car so the more clubs you can ask then maybe you’ll get lucky good luck in your search Quote

Albert Thirty two years after it was last registered, it has never had an MoT according to the DVLA. Built in 1966, it has almost certainly gone to the Great Garage in the Sky. Quote
AL32 Posted January 9 Author Posted January 9 Thanks all for replying I will ask around the TSSC forum as well however as you've said it's most likely long gone. Thanks for taking the time Quote
garyf Posted January 10 Posted January 10 There used to be a Green Mk2 Spitfire parked up on a drive near a village called Milford in Derbyshire, it was in a poor way. It's a long shot but it could be the same car. Gary Quote
