bond68 Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Hi all Anyone know what's required to fit a "D" Type o/d to a three rail non o/d box Ray Quote
drofgum Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Ray,Mainly the adaptor housing that connects the gearbox main case to the o/d case and the mainshaft. The mainshaft that fits the input of the o/d is different to the one in the non o/d box. Full gearbox strip required. Cheers, Paul Quote

bond68 Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 I have an o/d box with o/d fitted but there is a noise when the throttle is "balanced".that is to say it's quiet under load and quiet on over-run but when doing neither or cruising the noise or rumble is apparent.Perhaps it would be cheaper to rebuild the box?
