WIMPUS Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Does anyone know with what you unscrew this ? or how much distance there is between the holes and how deep they are ? (otherwise making something myself !) :)Wim Quote
nang Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 You used to be able to buy an adjustable tool to do this job. Probably still can. Someone should know. You could get a couple of drills the right diameter and carefully undo the plug with a small crescent. Just found this...https://www.google.co.nz/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCQQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.protoindustrial.com%2Fen%2Findustrial-tools%2FProto%2FFleet-Maintenance%2FPowertrain%2FJFP661_Proto%25C2%25AE-Adjustable-Pin-Spanner-Wrench%2F&ei=lL7hU4nvFMHj8AXXz4HoAQ&usg=AFQjCNE4OTIYW8CaZY-zOjLFrI2FqD8bYATony. I have a couple pair of really cheap ones that aren't good for much, and a pair that are pretty good. You could make a tool out of a piece of 1" x 1/16" steel, if you are so inclined. Would't take much more than some heat and a hammer (to make a 90 degree bend), a vice, and a grinder. Quote
byakk0 Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 oohhh, shiny! (think)I like that idea-much easier than mine. You could even do that with regular pliers Quote
nang Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Whatever you do make sure the pins are the correct diameter or else you'll bugger up the holes in the plug and never get it out in one piece :'(Tony. Quote
