Overdrive relay position

Getting to the wiring stage of my 67 vitesse restoration.  I have fitted overdrive which the car never had previously and obtained all of the switches, relay etc. But have not got a clue where there relay is supposed to be located.  Can anyone help please?

Mine (Mk1 1968) is located low level on the bulkhead under where the main wiring loom enters the engine bay next to the battery.

I presume you have fitted a D-Type - if you have a J Type then no relays are required   ;)

Not required as original, but I see no reason to not fit one,

Thanks for that.  Yes it is a D type so will fit a relay where you say.
