Dion Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 What is this right hand side column switch? Overdrive?Interesting carpet ;)This car is listed on Ebay USA as a 1962 Herald 1200. Would it not have the white rubber bumper strips from new?http://snipurl.com/j7w7n
Pete Lewis Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 the right hand side switch is 3 position for headlamp control off/ Main beam/Dip beam Pete
Paudman Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 If it's overdrive it will be through the cowling on a silver bezel behind the oval hole; ordinary light / indicator switches are through the oval hole in the shroud with no bezel.

In turn, the dash switch was a single-position switch that only operated the gauge illumination, and the headlamp "dimmer" switch was the old floor-mounted, foot-operated type. And yes, all Heralds (from the original 948 series on) destined for the US would have had white rubber bumper strips.
