John Bonnett Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Having removed the overdrive switch from the gear lever knob I've noticed that the brass connector on one of the wires to the switch is missing. Looking at the connector on the second wire it appears to be cylindrical in shape. Can these connectors be bought separately?John
GT6 M Posted May 25, 2011 Posted May 25, 2011 Little dinkee doo speaker clips will doo, or you can use the wee red ones, and put the contact ..between.. the two round bits, instead of in it like normal, may have to nip it up alittle, but they work fine on mine.
bodders1 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Or, for £4.50 you can renew the whole piece of loom from Rarebits4Classics: http://rarebits4classics.co.uk/Frameset.htm (scroll to near the bottom of the "products" page.) This will avoid you having to repeat the exercise when the other connector fatigues and falls off.Standard disclaimer: I have no connection with Rarebits4classics, other than being a satisfied customer.cheersbodders
