MG 'D' type overdrive

Does anyone know if the MG 'D' type overdrive is the same as the ones used in the GT6, I know the rear casting has different mountings, but are the internals the same?

talk to dave twigger at    http://www.odspares.com/    but d type is d type used in variations across the british medium car industry
internals dont vary much only the output flanges and shaft., the pressure settings could be different but as weight of car is similar it wouldnt affect much.

Thanks, it's in the gt6 now with the old rear casting fitted and all seems ok, I suppose time will tell.
