jacobtns
I'm getting ready to paint my 2000Mk2 (which will be stripped to bare metal) and wondered if anyone knows what type of paint triumph used to paint the 2000/2500s, stags, tr's etc of the era? I'm guessing its a single stage enamel?
thescrapman
I don't think it was an enamel, Thought is was just a standard cellulose based paint.
Slimboyfat
Single pack acrylic. I still have a very large tin of original French Blue 'appropriated' from the factory paint shops that came with one of our experimental saloons which was sold to the one of the chaps from Experimental who later sold me the car. I don;t think cellulose paint was used in the motor industry post WW2?
