Triumph Straight 6 Engine Rebuilders

My Triumph GT6 engine could do with the head rebuilding and hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel. I am also thinking of a few upgrades to power. Eg higher lift cam and maybe different carbs to the CD150's I have today. 

Many of the contacts I had before for Triumph engine work have gone out of business. Can anyone recommend a good and reliable engine rebuilder that specialises in these straight 6 engines ?

Where are you based?

Had a lot of engine machining to my GT6 engine done by Classic and Modern, based in Bracknell. Fairly certain they will build an engine as well.

I've just had my Triumph 2000 cylinder head re-built by Ivor Searle in Cambridgeshire and can thoroughly recommend them.

I was also going to heartily recommend Ivor Searle. They did the re-bore and cylinder head refurb on my Vitesse engine. They also supply the refurbished engines sold by another Triumph club.

The only reason I held back from saying that was the OP seems to want a "tuned up" engine built for him, and Ivor Searle are not Triumph tuning experts, nor "specialists in these engines" - they're specialists at doing a proper job of whatever engines they work on.

Thank you for the reply. I am in Derbyshire, but I can either take the engine to the company, or the car with engine in. I don't mind traveling for the right quality.

Many thanks for the lead of Ivor Searles, I recall seeing some good reviews from this company.

I am not necessarily looking for any significant tune up, but looking for something like a stage 2 set-up, which I believe was available from the Factory back in the day, this hopefully giving a bit more power, but still a fully useable road car.

If anyone has a stage 2 tuned engine powering their GT6 it would be great for some feedback on how it performs / drives.
