mazfg
Just wondered what thread size/ type is on the end of the grease cap? Always end up wrecking mine trying to get them off and if i had the right screw/ bolt, I could screw this in and it should come out easily. mazfg
Yes, I remember someone mentioning on here about using a bolt/ screw to screw in and it will pull out a lot easily than the usual polava.
Pete Lewis
some use a tapping screw through an opened up hole , screw it in and off comes the capwe did the nut idea, used a rivenut and a 1/4 setscrew, some weld a nut on the cap , needs a short setcrew in to block it off and use a long one to drag the cap off. sorry cant find the photo.Pete
Paudman
Use a setscrew, large coarse threaded one, this always pulls the cap up into a dimple before it comes off so put it over the rounded end of a brush handle and hammer back to a nice rounded shape again. Richard B
I've been removing them by gently tapping around the rim with a screwdriver and a light hammer. This eases the cap out without too much grief.
