PeteStupps
I see in the November magazine that the entries for next year are limited to 125. Think it was 140 last year - anyone know why it's been reduced?
Velocita Rosso
The official organiser may explain, but generally..its down to a financial/commercial decision and accounts balancing

ferny
More likely down to space. You can't fit 140 cars in a control point car park designed for 120. Same goes for stops involving food.
Tim Bancroft
The event has never started with more than 125 cars, 2019 was 121 if my memory is correct....😊 As Pete rightly states, JOG and LE cannot cope with more than 125 cars (this roughly equates to 300 people taking part). It is important to remember that everyone who has ever stated a wish to take part has managed to gain an entry place. This goes back to the first RBRR in 1966. Last time, we suffered (if that is the right word) over 40 withdrawals before the event. This leads to an administrative problem and cost for us, so for this RBRR we are going to have to charge a fee to those who withdraw to cover the costs. We are desperately trying to run the event at a financial point where the event makes a slight surplus for the Club. I hope to be able to announce the Entry Cost very soon. thescrapman
There was an RBRR this year? Damn, I missed it, must have been waiting for my entry to go through on the forum... :-) Quoted from timbancroft61- The event has never started with more than 125 cars, 2019 was 121 if my memory is correct....😊
