brianthesnail96
I wondered what happened to Le Bucket- we followed you for miles up through Scotland then again through the bottom end of Wales. Sounds like you are a man I need to keep up with as we're in a 2500 estate this year (assuming I get it back together in time), although I was planning a similar spares list myself it probably won't be quite that extensive... RobPearce
Quoted from darrenspitty- RBRR history 2004 … 1500 Spitfire … Buried it in a bridge in Jedburgh after Diff seized Ouch! Oh, that was you? I remember seeing the car, and a few other teams already helping out, as we passed. We did stop to see if we could do anything but, as I said, there were already enough people there. 2004 was the year I co-drove for Keith Bennett so not in one of mine. Here is my initial thoughts:- Rotor arm Dizzy cap Electronic ignition unit Spark plugs HT leads Coil (6v) Balast resistor Power steering belt Water pump belt (for EWP) Alternator belt for top left position Fuel pump Fuel hose Carb diaphragm and float gaskets Throttle cable Carb linkage plastic elbows Wiper blades Bulbs Alternator (uprated type) if I can afford to purchase it K seal Oils and water Grease Tie wraps Various wire and fittings Tow rope Various tools Regards Bruce
Saltddirk
our problem will mostly be the lack of a boot... as everything is possibly different from the later triumphs our spares will be plugs, bulbs, delco, nuts and bolts, Oil and whatever we can think of and that fits in the restricted space, our spannering is limited to basic stuff, so no real point in bringing a spare camshaft....
