Is there an RBRR logo? Aidan and I are doing a school assembly next week on the RBRR, in the hope of raising some cash (I'm aiming for £3,000, although I don't know whether that's ambitious or not ambitious enough). Anyway, I was wondering if there was a logo for the RBRR that we could steal and put on our slideshow? We'll be putting up some facts too, to try and "big-up" the challenge (Aidan's going to repeatedly suggest my car won't make it, to increase the air of challenge :P ).

So stuff like:

  • 2000 Miles
  • 48 Hours
  • 100 classic cars
  • 250 mildly mad competitors

Etc.

Cheers, Aaron

Afternoon Aaron

If you can raise £3000 then Every one will be very pleased.

We have always aimed for £500 between the 3 of us (it can be hard pursuading people that driving a car is a good thing to do) but last time got into 4 figures so we were very pleased.

The aim is to always better the previous event, so £600 from each car should do that this time.

One team did manage a 5 figure sum one year, I still wonder if he held up a security van.. :-)

Cheers

Colin

You could host it on Dropbox and link from there to here.  Follow this link to get an account with an extra 250 MB of bonus space (total 2.25GB) http://db.tt/OT9FUJG

I have done, but I don't know how to get it off dropbox, it seems to be a private thing?

Edit: unless this works? https://dl-web.dropbox.com/get/RBRR%202012.pptx?w=aa764e35

Files you put in Dropbox are private by default.

You need to put the file you want to share in the Public Folder. (having logged in to your Dropbox account online.)

Then right click/control click this file, then chose Dropbox.Copy Public Link.  This copies the internet link so that you paste it here.

No! Good! I wasn't actually being sarcastic for once - it's short, pithy and to the point, not too annoying and is amusing engaging and endearing. (If it sucked wind I'd say).
And the transition I liked was the second to last, of course.
Where's the bit where it says "please give generously" is all I thought was missing....
And "Track us online through blah blah" web page....

I like it, the only thing I noticed was 'There's an overnight stop at John O'Groats'. I've never seen that on the route book before  :) The longest my Herald was ever stopped was about 45mins at breakfast! Hope you gets lots of sponsorship!

I take it that it doesn't exist then? ;D

45 minutes will be enough for the car to power nap, and I think that by October it won't be the weak link!
