Clive
Gill has been busy digging about for hotels. So far she has booked these 2. She found some only offer breakfast from 7.30 (or suchlike) so decided they may be a bit late. Parking was nother consideration. And we also took into account the Ibis hotels seem to have comfy beds!Wed 6th Sept Ibis Mulhouse Ville Gare CentraleFri 8th Sept Holiday Inn Express Singen (not a lot of hotels in Singen!) Clive
Crikey, not a huge amount left at "reasonable"prices!Just booked at https://uk.hotels.com/hotel/de.....&ZSX=0&SYE=3Some very nice hotels, but can't justify the £200+ a night pricetag....especially when it is a short overnighter. Saltddirk
We booked Traube in Stevio-village, I can see that yours if much further down the road... Ah well we just will have to drive a bit further the next daySingen was still OK, not much choice in the cheap segment but not that prohibitive either....D

Beans
Quoted from Saltddirk Who's the Dutch team that booked the last room in Gasthof Stern in Stelvio....? Not us 😉 as we think Stilfs is to far away from Singen bearing in mind the restart in Meran (whistle)
EddieGT
Not us ... still have to look up an hotel..Is it confirmed restart is in meran?
GTRoger
There is no restart in Merano, you just set off and go!
Tim Hunt
As Roger says Edwin, no official restart location on the Friday morning. I would refer you to Ellis's circular email of 18/2, I note you were on the circulation list. Get cracking on finding a hotel if not done, rooms seem at a premium already for 7/9. Saltddirk
OK,all a bit fuzzy, but based on the remarks by the other teams I think that we had booked too close to the Stelvio. A quick check on Google learns me that it is another hour driving to Merano, As a Result I have cancelled the reservations I had made and have booked a B&B in Coldrano, cheaper too, but no restaurant on site, so we'll probably gate crash one of the other properties that have a restaurant.CheerzD

Beans
Team 56 and 57 have so far booked something (out of the way) in the Meran area for the Thursday evening (very good restaurant nearby ),and the HI in Singen for the Friday evening (good food and beer close to their back entrance 🙂)We'll (probably) ditch the overnight stay in the Mülhausen area to give us more time for some nice driving roads between there and Meran.
