James
I don't think anyone has mentioned this - but are we going to do the charity thing? (We? We? I've just noticed that Im doing the 10CR - somehow by default after the RBRR... hehehe)I can't remember if you lot did it last year or not - I know it was only a testing run - but it seems like an idea for the first "official" one - we seem to have done really well with the RBRR... so why not the 10CR?Perhaps a different charity from the RBRR one to spread it about a bit? Raider
James, one of the guiding principles of the 10CR is that it is less structured than the RBRR and more open to the individual to do their own thing.Having an official charity would mean more regulation, manned checkpoints etc etc.So, let's leave this free to individuals to either raise money for the charity of their choice (or not if they wish). James
Ok - was just wondering... :) Using the RBRR as a basis for the 10CR site - so saw the charity thing and wondered...If it's up to the individual - hows about an "unofficial" charity?...I'll have to come up with another excuse to the the 10CR then... My RBRR went like this:"2000 miles in 48 hours around Britain? - you must be nuts!""But it is for charity...""Ohhhhh" ;D ;D ;D ;D
Chris
lol - you need an excuse? The fact that I missed out on the RBRR is a good enough reason for me... :)
Jason
2000 miles in 48 hours - because it's there, who needs a reason :-)
James
Well ok - it wasnt an excuse - it was justification to those that don't understand... ;D
Jason
There are plenty who don't understand - I have found it best to just confirm their thoughts that we are nutters, saves time :o
