gfewster
Though occured to me after I'd finished removing mine tonight that it was still very hot to the touch. What's the fastest anyone's removed their head? A question like this shows how bored I am when not in the garage......Incidentally the reason for removal is to do some proper port matching on the head and manifolds, and also to reset the cam timing and fit a duplex timing gear set.I have a pack of Stanpart NOS head gaskets, are these any good or should I get something else? gfewster
True, mattius. It didn't occur to me to leave the alternator in place. Perhaps it stopped me getting a wrench to the water pump bolts?
