boxcorsair
Hi allI am missing the insulating spacers that sit between the carbs and the inlet manifold. They are proving a bit tricky to track down. Does any one know if this http://www.sucarb.co.uk/ProductDetail.aspx?Id=33238 would be a suitable replacement in lieu of the originals. The carbs are stromberg 150's. Norgt6
That Andrew Turner. He supplied me with a nice set of 150 carbs and the correct insulator blocks. He may have the stromberg ones for you too. So definately worth a call.

don cook1
I think that the insulating block for Strombergs have a slot cut out which the one on your SU link doesn't show.

Uf anyone else is needing Wins have them for a couple of squids each. ;)
Straight Six
Just out of interest; What function do those spacers perform? I've always fitted them, but never known why. Other cars tend to have just a gasket between the carb(s) and manifold.
boxcorsair
Hey Six - my understanding is that they help insulate he Carbs from heat exchange from the inlet manifold, which otherwise may lead to vapour lock or other nasties.... in practice who knows but without them the inlet manifold fouled the carb linkage and the studs where far too long... altogether neater with them in place
