inner wheel arches protection

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've noticed for a while that my front inner wheel arches are becoming flacky, all the old stone chip paint is cracking and coming loose.
The plan was to take it all of and to paint it over with good quality stone chip paint..

But does anyone else know something else that can be used?
As you all will know the car drives everyday, winter/summer, so need to be something good. 🙂

I have just done my mine (after rust treatment and Zinc primer ) in Halfords Truck bed liner spray, it is black and gives a sort of rough sandpaper finish can then be painted over in your own body colour.

Have also done my engine sump in it, looks and feels really nice. 🙂

I thowt long an hard on this when i put mine back ont road in 86-7 ish

Finally decided, and after plenty of pent coats,
I put 2 layers of Glass fibre matting on bits where nee actual wheel flung dung,

and 4 layers where it would get most stick,
covered owa wid an underseal, and a top up noo an then when road detris has worn it off,   Its been on for ages, and stood the test as far as im aware.
