Considering larger wheels but with a brand new bonnet I to try and do it as neatly as possible. JimGT6 Posted January 1, 2012 Share Posted January 1, 2012 Don't do it! Find wheels that fit without modification such as Panasport. They make 5 1/2 inch wide wheels that do not need fender lip surgery. Bought my GT6 in 1977 when I was 20. Had to have wide wheels and did the mods.
