Chriss Posted June 1, 2010 Author Posted June 1, 2010 We have 3 spaces left. Paul Hughes has said he intends to enter and will do so this week. Dave Picton and Kean Kronje have said they want to enter but are unable to use the MGoT website. MGoT will accept payment by cheque for £150 for the main driver, £15 for a second driver and £10 for instruction slot as you require Mail to:Mrs F. Guy, 16 Cogdene Road, Poole, Dorset, BH17 9AS. detailing what the payment is for please.places will be reserved until Monday 7th June pending arrival of the cheque. After this date MGs will be allowed into our session.
TimW Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 ChrisI'm not moaning BUT can you tell me why we have to pay £150 while the MGoT guys only pay £140?RegardsTim
Tim Guy Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 The price for the track day is £150 which ever marque you drive. Fully paid up MG Car Club members pay £10 less at all our track days, recognising that MGoT is a branch of the MGCC who provide a certain amount of support infrastructure enabling us to operate.Probably only half of the MGs attending this day are MGCC members. Please, please, please people, get your booking sorted now. We, like your CT Committee, are all voluntary workers.Whilst we are happy to help you fill the empty slots your club has committed to, you need to tell us now to give us a chance of sorting the admin. Frankly we have enough to do the week before a track day. We don't want to spend it phoning round, changing session lists, re-stuffing track day envelopes, advising the circuit of name changes etc.ThanksTim

Ridgetone Triumph Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Why not, can't see any delay :-/Oh yes I can silly me you have a 'numax' ;D ;D ;D ;D
GT6boy Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Splendid day of prep today- tightened down the CH again, some stud bolts taking up a half a turn(!). Re-packed the front wheel bearings and managed a little tweak of the castle-ated nuts too. Mintex pads checked and loads of material left( 8)). Changed the oil and filter. Steve A(Spitbang) popped over and was a great help in changing the brake fluid and bleeding the system. We then changed the clutch fluid, checked the diff oil level(correct- if a bit gloopy) then topped up the GB oil level((whistle)). Great to see Steve and it was a lovely afternoon :). Oh, I traced the 40ma current drain too- turned out to be my 'temporary' rev counter being inadvertantly permantly wired. A quick re-wire to pick up an unused fuse holder position and bingo- no current drain! ;D
James Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 A day of prep today for me too - should have pump and seat installed by midday tomorrow. For sure all my issues are fuel - observed the pump fizzing away today - looking forward to having it sorted tomorrow.Willans 4 point arriving on Monday
TimW Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I've fitted 550lb front springs and new bushes in the AVO's (what a bitch that was!) I also checked all my nuts to make sure they don't fall off 8)(whistle)I have replaced the throttle cable for a teflon bike brake cable. This is a vast improvementI also removed the micro filter on the fuel pump (electric) and cleaned it out. I did get a couple of large chunks of rust from it! Maybe this is the cause of my fuel pump problems. I didn't have any trouble with it on the run to Roy's today so fingers crossed.I am going to change oil and filter in the morning then a damn good wash and polish
