I'll start this thread just in case there is anyone else looking for a drive as well as me !
So here goes !

Anyone looking for a co driver ?
I don't trust my car to do the event in its present condition (1500 herald)so as a result I am looking for a drive.
I don't care if I am a second,third or forth member !
I am local to the plough(cheshunt)and my vital stasticstics are :-
I'm 45 and i work as a night driver, so I'm happy to all the night bits.
Obvously I will pay my way !
Don't what else to say, so let me know !
If there is more than one offer I will look at all offers(not wanting to sound picky)

Due to personal circumstances, it doesn't look as if I will be able to enter the RBRR this year  :(
However, there is a chance that I will be available as a co driver; so if anyone out there needs a little extra help with the miles then perhaps we could have a chat????

If anyone has a spare seat going I know nielnaz from NZ was looking for one.
That shows commitment, to coincide a UK trip with the RBRR. So if you have or know anyone who has a spare seat I am sure he will appreciate a PM.

Many thanks.
Spider.

Hi chaps, I am going to miss out on the RBRR. I will be in the UK just running up to the start of the RBRR and I had thought that it would be great to take part again but I will be flying out the day before the start of the event.

Thanks for mentioning me Spider and the kind words Dave.

I am sure that I will take part in the event again some time. I will just have to organise myself a little better for 2014.

I wish you all the best with your preparations and I am sure you will have a blast - an utterly ridiculous thing to do - and that is why it is so much fun..........  8)

Well you are most kind Doug and Dave. Kaye and I will be in the UK for 3 weeks and I thought there was a possibility to fit in the RBRR but we also have a Kaye's family event to attend and we could hardly turn that down for the sake of the possibility of a last minute call-up to co-drive.

As it stands I fully intend to come over for 2014 so I had better put the word out now to see whether I can get any willing team-mates....

I really enjoyed co-driving for Katie and having a drive in both Doug's and John's GT6s on the way round in 2006. I think that whole experience was just so much fun. It captured all that is great about these cars and the people that drive/fix/break/thrash them.

All the best

Neil (and Kaye)

Perhaps Neil Naz could get in touch with jonnyk5614 who has just emigrated to NZ and bought himself a 2000 saloon to replace his Spitfire. A RNZRR would make a wonderful trip!

Looking at the calender I don't think we can make it over for this RBRR but will definatley come over for the next one. Can't bring a car but will help in any way we can. Always wanted to be in the RBRR ever since reading the first reports of it in Classic and Sportscar in the early 90s.

- reliable navigation
- mechanical nouse
- safe and progressive driving (recently sharppened by ex-Police instructor)
- ballast (!)
- sparkling wit and general positivity

Might be worth having a chat with Dave Marshall (Dave2000 on here), I think he's struggling to find a co-pilot?

Coincidentally, I was just having a browse on YouTube and searched "RBRR", only to reveal a video you shot a while back...  ;D

Its looking likely that my co driver wont make next week ,although this isn`t 100% yet i thought i would see if there is any one out there who might fill in if i need it.
