Lincolnshire Drive

Hi All , I attended the Lincolnshire Triumphs meeting on Wednesday and had a fantastic drive back as the sun set over the fields . This fantastic Vitesse six turned up with its owner and his grandson. A wonderful drive back in the Flying log across Martin Moor . A view similar to that seen by the Dambusters as they returned to their original base at Woodhall Spa ( The Squadron moved to Scampton later in the war) . Earlier in the week I had a drive across the Lincolnshire Wolds up to Mablethorpe with its fantastic beach and then across to Louth . The scenery in this part of the county is wonderful and I’m making plans! I have an idea for a camping weekend next year with a light hearted show and shine called the “Bonquers Concours “ prizes for best car in class , best overall , worst car , crew that comes the furthest to get there , best modification, best period modification, wackiest wheels plus a run out to see “Just Jayne” at the East Kirby Aircraft museum . The camp site has limited electric hook ups so you will need to book early once I’ve announced the date . For any Adrian Mole fans out there it’s your chance to find out why Bert Baxter was willing to give up his right ball for a weekend in Skeggy!
