Dannyb
I have just cleaned out my SU float bowls and valves which contained black rubber partials. I've got all R9 fuel pile with filter tank side of the pump. Can I fit another filter near the carbs. Danny
Guppy916
for the sake of a tenner it's worth a try, or get a glass one that you can clean, https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/fuel-filter-glass-chrome-with-8mm-hose-tails
Rosbif
Unless you want bling just get the disposable version, when the plastic discolours I replace it. It is fitted just before the fuel pump
Dannyb
I have one just before the fuel pump but I have the R9 fuel pipe from the pump around bulkhead to the carbs, so wondered about fitting a second filter just before the carbs to catch any debris if the fuel pipe from pump to carbs starts breaking up. Weren't sure if too many filters would affect flow. Danny
Rosbif
I doubt a second would affect flow but if the pipe is 'real' R9 not Ebay dubious stuff I can't see why you would need/want one. Also every time there is a joint there is a risk of leak and when replacing the filter a risk (possibly) of the dreaded slivers getting in the system. Originally the only filter was the pump one so adding another is already an upgrade. They are very cheap so it isn't going to bankrupt you. 😁
