shadowbane
On a 74 MKIV how the hell do you get the Clutch release arm off!!! I see it's on a pin outside the bell housing but i'm assuming there is something locking the pin in there?Any help would be appreciated :)
Clive
Knock it througgh. It is held in place by 2 "crinkly washers" and that is all. Hence the pin sometimes falls out, and you lose the clutch. Best to fit new crinkly thingies, and you an also fit a pin with a head so it can't fall through. Canleys will have all the bits. Paddocks too. drofgum
shadowbane,You shouldn't have to hit it all that hard to remove the pin. I would suggest tapping the pin from below in case you have one with a head already. Cheers, Paul
