Studs in cylinder heads: hand tight or locked in?

Howdy 🙂

I know that cylinder head studs (the ones which fit in the block) should be hand tight, to avoid unnecessary stress, but what about the studs in the cylinder head itself? Should they also be hand tight or locked in (using the double nut method)?

Thanks 😉

Just a slack fit, aboot finger tight
butt, befoer ye bung em in, cut a slot in em
this so a screwdriver can put em in / oot,
makes life so so much easirer when ye want to get cyl head/or mani off

cut wid one blade, then double up,it,ll mek a good slot for yer driver
