pw2000
Well having read so many other peoples forum threads over the years i though it was time to "give something back" so here goes, my spitfire 1500 restoration thread :-)So it all came about one thursday morning in January '14 - I stopped for petrol on the way to work at my normal place and the guy i always speak to but didnt know his name (you know what i mean) asked me if i was into old cars (pointing at my classic mini) yes, obviously. And manages to slip in to the conversation that he's looking to shift a spit that hes had for a few years but needs some work to get back on the road "if i know anyone looking".This then flapped about in my head all day at work and i stopped in for a topup the next morning. That sunday i go and have a look at it:more to follow....

rotoflex
I have always had a GT6 and don't know a whole lot about Spitfires, but why did they make the seat on the hard top face backwards?
