Beans
Removed the fronts brake pads for a closer look why they didn't behave as they should. As you can see they look rather glazed, cracked and pitted ...This is how decent pads (Mintex M1144) looked after a real trashing, and they still worked as they should ....Needles to say I went for decent pads again, this time Mintex M171, yes very old school 😎
Beans
Started the preparations for the 2015 10CR today ... well sort offWith both my TR7's officially of the road for three months from tomorrow, it is time to start on some typical winter jobs. This weekend I started with dusting of an AutoCad file I created almost three years ago. This was converted into the design software as provided by Schaeffer AG.But before hitting the 'order" button I first have to find some countersunk M8 x 40 mm Allen head bolts with the correct (DIN) head dimensions.Something to sort the coming week. Andy Flexney
Theo, just been reading your blog and wondered if you could not use the TR3 insulating blocks? You would have to use longer screws and have about 10mm space between carbs and wing but they might just work.Take a look at number 158 on http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=2107CheersAndy
Beans
Thx for that, but i will first put everything together with some good old fashioned gaskets
Beans
Quoted from Beans ... At the moment looking into 3D printing them ... Quoted from Beans ... Not any more, this technique is still way to expensive compared to traditional machining ... More than a year on and still no wheel centres for the Wolfies, but that might be about to change.Got the details of a Belgian company that are specialised in 3D printing.Got a quotation from them which was good enough to give it a try.See next year how this file translates into a 3D printed object ... Beans
Took some time but the 3D printed wheel centres have arrived.Needed two takes to get the proper quality and finish ...
mpbarrett
that's very good. If you designed it would you be willing to share the design? Then anyone anywhere could get it printed, 3D printing is a bit like sharing a PDF file....Maybe CT need a new group on the forum for 3D print designs, we are "the club that does things"....or some thing like that.. mike
Beans
No problem sharing the design with CT members. But bear in mind these centre caps are for these wheels with a rather distinctive centre bore ...

Beans
How time flies. Todat the car was in for her fourth (biennial) MOT since I finished the restoration in 2010.Nothing really wrong, only CO and head lights slightly high. Both easily adjusted.
