Finished the last bits of the suspension this evening.
Only thing left to do was remove the rear axles back plate to have a look at the gears.

As you can see nothing wrong inside, so the by now freshly coated back plate could be refitted.
Together with the last item of the suspension, the rear anti roll bar ...

Will start on the doors next.
Also ordered some fancy tyres for when the wheels return ...

Know how you feel, I have fitted windows twice in my own 2 cars, and once on a friends, did not get any easier each time!
Found the easiest way was to fit windows without channel seals, lower to halfway, then feed seal in, winding up window as you feed it in, hold seal then wind down a bit, then repeat.

Picked up the newly coated wheels today, look very nice indeed.
Piccies to follow. Fitting the tyres is scheduled for Thursday.

Fitted the RH door handle and latches this evening.

The doors outside latch mechanism ...

Very pleased with the doors alignment, the way it closes and the looks of the all black door handle.

Fitted the door mirrors ...

After that I fitted the doors wiring wiring ...

... only to find out the door cards didn't fit any more.
The car trimmer who refurbished th einterior managed to sap the felt seals.
So I'll have to return the cards to him to have this rectified.

Instead of finishing the doors I fitted the windscreen side finishers and the sill mouldings underneath the doors.

And to help with the overall picture, I trial fitted both sets of wheels I prepared for the car ...

Finished the last bit of the dashboard today fitting and connecting up the dashboard loom to the instrument panel ...

And yesterday I took the seats for the DHC down from the attic, where they had been stored for nearly 12 years.
After a bit of refurbishing with hide food, fitting them was pretty straightforward ...

And when I returned home this was waiting for me  ...

Wow. Beans, that looks stunning. I really like the blue-trimmed interior. Where are the seats and carpets from, originally? The upholstery work on them is great. I love the top stitch work on all of it. Is it all leather?

Also, I'm trying to decide on whether or not to have my nasty old radiator fixed, or buy a new one. What do you recommend?

Really incredible restoration you're doing. VERY inspirational!!

Thx 🙂

All the trim parts are TR7 parts that were refurbished by a local car trimmer.
Seats were done 14 years ago when I was restoring 't Kreng,
they are leather as are the handbrake and gearlever gaiters.
Rest of the interior is some kind of vinyl and was trimmed to match the seats by the same guy.
