beanpoleuk
The front seats are very very tatty and torn in my 1250 , can't seem to find any reasonably cheap used ones ebay. What alternative car seats are easy to fit ?Cheers
rustbuckit2011
Mgf and mx5 seem to be the most popular. I have mgf's for mine. If you search on here, you should be able to find plenty of info on fitting either.Sorry , link no longer available Theres a link to start you off,
Dogsbody47uk
Have MX5 seats in mine. Tried MGF seats but they are too wide to go far enough back (I'm 6ft 4in tall!). However, I think the MGF seats are more comfortable than MX5, if you can get them in. Cheers, Dave.

Dogsbody47uk
Hi Rustbuckit. Problem with MGF seats is even worse on a convertible! Dave (oldmetalhead82) knows, cos I sold him my MGF seats! He's a bit smaller than me. Cheers, Dave.
scotty71
I had fitted the America TR6 seats, but modified the herald seat rails to fit. the TR seats are longer, so added 6" of 3mm box cut to shape.

ferny
Quoted from Don Cook Ford StreetKa have leather seats that are very comfortable, these are on ebay for £75 the pair. Not sure they'd fit. I put some in my van - added bonus of being heated as well. They cost me £40.
marktheherald
I put Saab 900 seats in the estate. Bit of a faff to fit, but v comfortable.
Jonny-Jimbo
Putting Impreza seats in the Lemon for RBRR all being well, but too wide for a Herald type car.The most commonly fitted at MX5 I think, However, just go round a scrappy with a tape measure and see what's what. Finding ones with flat mounts would be helpful. To mount the Subaru seats I cut off the OEM mounts from the runners and will weld new mount plates on which will bolt onto the original 2000 bolt holes.
