Hi there from NZ and thinking of buying some BBclassic car seats in from the UK. Still cheaper after  freight than buying something similar here. There to go in my mk2 gt6. By the way priced original parts to fix, twice the price and my driver frame is toast. Is there a better idea am new at this game? Will keep the old seats one day might overhaul. cheers team. :-/

Your car looks really good.
Haven't tried the BB seats myself but I've seen them in other people's cars and they look a bargain.... especially if you can stand to get the clubmans and fix them.
It's a pity not to have all the adjustment you get with more expensive seats though - or with the originals.
I went MX5 with mine, but soon went back to the originals 'cos I couldn't drive the thing. Lots of threads about them here, and other seats people have tried.
Once again - nice looking car.

Ah! Sorry - the "Clubman(s)" version was the first on the list at the BB Classic web site I went to to check what you were talking about - and the cheapest version. I guess that is 'cos it's a simple bolt-in and you can't adjust it for-and-aft (or perhaps for rake either). I presumed you were looking at that one - seems I may have been wrong!

I would be thinking about buying used cheap MX5 or something though, for the short term, while I saved my pennies up to get the originals fixed. Not 'cos I'm a period freak or anything you understand (my car looks like a Christmas tree covered in tinsel, after all) but just 'cos they're what fits best in my experience.

Other opinions will definitely differ (this post may contain nuts.)
