AGC
These seats are fitted to my Mk3 Spitfire. I don't think they are originals but are they triumph seats. If anyone can identify them I would be most grateful. Thanks
DaveKent
They are just standard Spitfire mk4 /early spitfire 1500 ones.

cook1e
They may still be late Mk4, they had headrests from Comm no FH50,000 had the headrest holes and the option of fitting headrests.
FGRob
Long shaft MK IV had headrest fitted - I've got them in mine.

AGC
Thanks for the replies..... Next question, Im thinking of having them refurbished and recovered or should I seek out some Mk3 seats?? Im more interested in comfort than originality so what are your views. Are these later seats likely to be more comfy than the originals?
Dogsbody47uk
You could refurbish them yourself. All the bits you need are available from suppliers such as Rimmers.

Mark Hammond
Late MKlV Spit seats.... as said before, these had headrests or at least the holes for them....Mark
cook1e
MK4 seats are probably more comfortable due to the deeper backs and the trim is easier to get hold of. As suggestted Park Lane Classics are great if you want to do the job yourself and much cheaper than anyone else as they make thier own covers, most of the traders get thiers from Newton commercial who are dearer than Park lane. The guy who runs Park Lane, owen, is a real nice bloke to do business with as well :-) , he's really helpful if you need any advice.
cook1e
The good thing about Mk3 seats is that they looked great in black with the white piping though BTW so that may swing your decision:-
CHRIS211083
They do have a habbit of breaking though the early ones do. This is why most have been replaced with the later ones.Chris.
Tim Hunt
To be fair Chris, you are more of a challenge to a seat than most :) Look forward to seeing you at the RBR (as we must now call it apparently) drivers' meeting where you can sort me out for that comment!Tim

I liked the idea of the white piping and he said he can do this for just another £15.Been distracted with other jobs through the summer but its definately one of my winter jobs now, to be ready for next summer.
