AlanChatterton Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 Ok, how do I check and top up the gearbox oil.Its worrying me as its the only thing I haven't checked on the car.Looked at the workshop manual, and I can't really see what I am looking for!Found a large nut, same level as the os driveshaft exits the gearbox, just to the rear of it........ is this it?How do I get to it?!any advice? Toledo Man Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 It should be fine but it can't hurt to check. The manuals even the Haynes aren't difficult to understand. From memory (my manuals are in the garage) you can use either 10/30 or 10/40 engine oil in the gearbox.I must admit that the only time I change the gearbox oil is when I have to remove the gearbox.
