vitesse non starter

HI,

I came to start my vitesse for the first time after about 2 months and it wont start.

I was expecting some reluctance at first but i thought it would have started at least, it tries to fire once and then goes back to turning over.

I have noticed though that after a few attempts of starting the fuel is dripping out of the air filter on the carb, i took the front face off the filter and theres loads of fuel in the venturi and the sponge for the air filter is soaked.

the rear carb doesnt seem to be supplying any fuel through the valve because after a few attempts at starting the venturi and the bridge are dry.

i first thought that the float had stuck open on the front carb but i took it apart and the floats seem fine on both carbs.

has anyone any other suggestions.

Have you got a fuel filter?

I had some issues with balancing etc, just taking pipes off to make sure there's fuel going though.

Process of elimination kinda thing.
