The article wasn't specific about which mark or engine varient of the escort it was (though it did say it was the 'Euro' model) - anyone shed any light?I'm sick to death of having to strip the calipers back clean again after leaving the car laid up for anything in excess of 10 minutes... so an alternative change over part might be a good thing.Chris Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Nick Moore Posted October 15, 2007 Share Posted October 15, 2007 You can probably fit a simple Escort caliper upgrade - for example Hispec offer alloy 4-pot calipers which fit in place of type 14, 16 or Princess calipers, and you could fit those. But more involved brake upgrades with larger discs and caliper mounting brackets almost certainly won't be a straight fit.Why do you need to strip and clean the calipers? Are the pistons rusty?
