Oskar
i bought a tuned 1.8turbo (ca18det) with forged internals from a nissan 200sx that i am going to put into my 68 triumph herald 13/60 but i have a hard time finding a rear suspension/diff/drakes to cope with the power. I got a complete ford sierra rear end i was planning to use, but the suspension arms doesn't really fit at all.I don't want to chop too much into the frame to make it fit, as the frame is galvanized and in perfect condition with thicker outriggersthe engine was dynoed at 425hp, but i will use a smaller turbo to make about 250-300hpany input on what suspension and brakes i could use?http://img.dotphoto.com/i/f/C7387662-67AC-4882-905B-7FCFA3B75789/268642868.jpg

ferny
Seen the Ford route done. Also Jaguar, MX5 and complete custom. All require a lot of work to the rear floor. In fact, most cut it out completely then create a new one to match what they've welding on!

Davemate
I believe Nick jones makes cv drive shaftsI think someone on here used rover 45 radius arms with coil springs. Start a new thread "alternative rear suspension"
ahebron
A club colleague ran a Mk4 Spitty with a Daimler 2.5 V8 running Nitrous Oxide. It kept a standard rear end but fitted 2000 discs at the front. He was very adept at changing diffs and axles.I was in a car 2 behind when he blew the diff once and we felt it in our car.Adrian
