  1. Also, we are trialling this technology. We know it won't work for every use case BUT we can make it work for most when we know where it falls down - if we can get it fine tuned for our purposes it could be a great benefit to the club. We could conceivably administer and run our events the same platform cutting down the considerable manual overheard of the current process whilst also giving us the assurance that if a marshal doesn't make it to a control, the event integrity is preserved. Of course RallyAppLive was made for small competitive events and we are trying to use it for a large non-competitive event, so we are pushing the envelope a bit 😉 As long as we know what you did to break it, the learning will be worth it!

  2. There's a good chance you'll be fine next week. Once the panic buyers have filled their cars sales will return to normal levels. Unlike toilette rolls petrol isn't easy to stockpile. In fact you will probably discover that when you need to fill up there won't be any queues and the pumps will be covered in cobwebs because nobody needs to buy any petrol by then 😁

  3. Unless there is any dishonest activity, Getting roadbooks signed when you are not with it, We don't need to personally provide any details to the places we visit as the marshalls are gathering that information via the check sheet as they sign the roadbooks. The time of signing is always entered. Also RallyApp is providing a highly accurate record of the location of the vehicle during the course of the event. To have 400 people queuing up to fill out a signing in sheet will create long queues.

  5. I think starting the event would only count if you made it outside Knebworth. 😂

  6. Do you not have be multiple cars that look the same? Best way to get them past the financial controller. Just don't ever have them in the same place at the same time. I started a HCR in a red TR6 and finished it in a blue Stag, so it can be done. 🙂

  7. You will be able to get away with it by bluffing them out and imply they have short-term memory loss or are suffering from fatigue or have become colour and shape blind as a result of the fumes from the car in front.

  11. New glass bowl and seal arrived, no charge, and is fitted. Problem solved. The old plastic bowl has indeed been attacked by the petrol and instead of being rigid can be squeezed out of shape. I think the more I tightened it into the unit the more it distorted and was therefore just getting worse!
