  1. Sadly not, they have changed the default speed limit, so now do not have to sign post 20mph limits, but conversely do have to signpost 30mph limits.
  2. What is amazing is how quickly they have rolled it out, in May Jim was saying the RBRR would be long gone before they even got going. It is in, and being enforced already. Think speed (ironically) is the way to go now with contentious legislation. Just remember, if you can see a street light, on or off, assume it is 20, as there is no requirement to sign the new limit.
  3. Jim is hopefully slightly more careful about commenting on Lambrini drinking southerners now. We all wanted him to share our favourite tipple. And even better to appeal to his financially astute roots, it was on special at Tesco that week. £1 a litre ISTR
  4. It may be easier for you to get M12 studs and wheel nuts rather than try to get imperial ones
  5. This was in an early PI car with timing tweaked to most advantageous and a TR4 with higher compression than usual and again tweaked ignition. Cars even sounded different to normal. Guess they were just making better use of the energy within the fuel, especially as both were designed for 5-star.
  6. My PI ran OK on 95, but preferred 98. My TR hates 95. You can Aral in Germany that is over 100, (101 or 104 I think) and like rocket fuel. The Shell Vpower is also higher RON in Germany than the UK version. In France the 98 has been fine for my PI cars, usually E5 same as UK.
  7. It was orange before, neither were ever offered on big saloons.
  8. That looks distinctly like a motorbike part, and we are only really car experts. That said, there may be some bike experts amongst us. Sorry about that.
  9. As long as they fire at same pressure I guess they should work. is the end at the same point in the inlet tract?
  10. Never seen injectors like those before. Anyone else recognise them?
  11. What car? generally could be a different clutch manufacturer, or mismatched parts, or pressure plate worn out, assuming you are comparing like for like cars. If you have a TR and are comparing it to a Spitfire, then yes, a TR is a hairy-chested sports car and has to have a proper heavy mans clutch. 🙂
  12. I was thinking more like the theme from the Godfather. He is “The Don” where the RBRRnis concerned.
  13. All I can say is a friend has been struggling to buy a new spring for hisAcclaim this year. I don’t think anywhere keeps them on the shelf now.
  14. The one I have used is in Station Yard, woolfrace wheels or something like that. Other is Europit in Heybridge I think,
  15. You can have a look through my boxes of audio equipment if you want.
  16. BP5ES better for PI cars, hotter plug, seem to be harder to foul, well in my experience. Even better are the Bosch 3 pronged ones, I have really struggled to foul them in my PI cars. W7DTC I think they are
  17. Ther are 2 places in Maldon that have Hunter setups, I have my cars done at one, Mr Bishop has used the other one a number of times.
  18. If Triumph, and it looks like it may be, it will be MK1 2litre with the ports in a row. 6-1 so likely to be a full race one, but does not look like a quality one.
  19. What is it registered as? That will have a bearing on the viability of it.
  20. That was an original “starburst” Bakelite pulley, quite rare, quite fragile! I did not think they were fitted to cars as late as yours so probably not original. metal pulley much more reliable.
  21. Could be, which way are wipers parking?
  22. Filmed in Europe, even if the plate is a made up one, as they used a Euro spec blank. exhaust is on wrong side?
